I was looking up some cases because if there are two things I have always been interested in, it is true crime and cults. This post is about a true crime case. This one was interesting because I have never heard about it before, and sometimes in watching documentaries, I will see the same case three or four times. So, something new is always interesting.
I’m not sure what it is about Florida but we get a lot of highly publicized cases, but especially about children who are reported missing. These are cases that have reached nationwide if not globally. These are cases that reach people’s hearts and people become very invested in them. Especially, the children in these cases they become Florida’s children.
So, my blog today was going to be about something else but that required more research and that was going to happen yesterday but a tree fell on some power lines and the electricity was out for hours, and then the cable and internet was out for half the day. That probably was nothing because I had a headache that finally just went away but it on my good eye and I really didn’t feel like doing anything. It’s kind of hard to do anything when you have this horrible pressure the eye you use the most, just saying.
So, something happened in my community recently, and sadly it wasn’t surprising at all, but with all the media coverage it was getting I had hoped that justice would be served. Spoiler alert, it wasn’t. My community does have a history of allowing justice to go unheard and criminals to run free.
About twenty-one years ago an eight-year-old when missing on November 03, 1998, and then her body was found about a week later on November 10, 1998. This was one of the first cases that I remember making national news, it was everywhere. I was in middle school when this was going on, and everyone wanted this little girl to be found alive and safe. I don’t remember the FBI or America’s Most Wanted being involved but they were, that is how big this case was.
