In a time of so much destruction and chaos and the war against women and people who are oppressed we have another battle. The battles are never-ending, and they are trying because you can’t allow the people who hate and hurt you to win. You hear other ask why do you fight so much, and why do you try? No one will do it for us, especially with people who are sided with such a violent force who want to hurt us, we can’t stop or they will win.
There is always that one family member who you love so much and want so much for but they don’t want or try for themselves. You’re just waiting for them to hit rock bottom so that they can be rebuild and heal into the someone you know that they really are. When your cousin has been to jail twice in the last two month, for drugs and reckless driving. It’s not even as if she has been making different choices, she is doing the same thing expecting different results. That’s just insanity.
This is probably just a Hey Arnold fandom thing, but everyone seems to hate on Lila because she happens to be who Arnold has a crush on long-term in the series. It’s always bothered me that their hate of this character is rooted in misogyny and the fact that Arnold likes her and not Helga. It’s such a bad reason to hate a character, and it still upholding the societies hold on what they want from us. They want people to hate women characters, and in its self-other women. They pit us together on purpose and thus reinforcing it.
Thirty things that you don’t know about me/my life. I got this idea from another fanfiction/published author that I am a fan, so credit due to Keira Marcos.
I didn’t know how to cook until I went vegan.
As a teen I was told that I should be flattered that someone older than supposedly hotter was flirting and harassing me even though I didn’t encourage it, and I said no. I knew that it always felt wrong to me, but now I know how I felt was valid. That my no should have been enough.
I have always meant to come back sooner, but life really does get in the way, it’s been a long two years and most of it not good. I did become the assistant manager at my job, which I loved the paperwork aspect of it because working with computers and data processing is fun and easy. However, while we got some really good people working there after the firing and quitting, some was not awesome at all. So, it was stressful and not fun. Especially when I had a lot to do, plus my basic job, then I had to pick up all of the extra slack. You can only yell at someone so many times for doing what they get paid to do when you don’t have the power to fire them, and even the manager has to go through the office and get their permission.
