Hooray it’s Evil Author Day, and here is me sliding in with my offering for it.
So, if you don’t know what Evil Author Day is it happens every year on February the 15th. I don’t know who started other than it was started on Livejournal or Dreamwidth but was made popular by Keira Marcos. So, it started out as a day where writers would post the titles or descriptions of their in-process stuff and let others vote what they wanted the writer to write, but now it’s more where writers post their in-process stuff as in small snippets. So why is it evil? That is because this might be all you see, or I might not publish it for a long time. I am super slow at writing, and even slower at typing. For more information, and more links to other people’s EAD projects see Jilly’s site.
Sometimes, the hardest part of this is typing because I always keep all these stuff and notes like this in notepads, and I really hate typing lol.

Hermione Granger had just watched her friend Harry Potter’s snowy white owl Hedwig leave her window seal with another letter, and so far there hasn’t been a reply. It had been two weeks since the ride back on the Hogwarts Express, and in that time neither Ron or she had heard anything from their shared friend. So, here she was beyond worried, and afraid to leave her bedroom, because what if she wasn’t there and Harry finally responded. She wouldn’t want to miss it.
Where normally she would have had all her homework for the summer finished by now, but considering how she was feeling Hermione could barely concentrate on it. She knew that Ron was feeling the same way about Harry, not about the homework.
Her parents were worried, she could tell with the way that they were acting, but she stopped telling them anything when they threaten to pull her from Hogwarts after she told them about when she got petrified in her second year. So, she definitely did not tell them anything about the previous school year, her injury, or about how Sirius died. Merlin, she didn’t even tell him she knew Sirius or that he was Harry’s godfather considering that they believed what they have seen in the Muggle news that he was a wanted fugitive. She knew that if they knew everything that she would be forced to give up magic for sure.
They were also going on about taking a family holiday to Switzerland and that was the last thing that she wanted right now. While she loved to travel and visit other countries, at the moment she wanted to be near Harry in case he needed her, or when he needed her, since knew that he must be hurting.
“Hermione,” [name] Granger knocked.
“Yes, mother,” she answered.
“Your father and I are going to shop, would you like to come along?” Her mother asked almost sounding like she was begging.
“No thank you,” she said.
“Well, would you like us to get you anything?”
“No, mother.”
She heard her mother sigh before stepping away. Then Hermione sat on her bed and waited for an owl that she hoped would come.
She must have fallen asleep since she jolted up when the beating on what she assumed was her front door. Feeling drowsy Hermione made her way to the front door and was surprised at who was there.
“Miss Granger,” the Police Officer asked after she answered the door.
“Yes,” she answered as she noticed it was darker outside than she thought it should have been.
“You need to come with us, your parents had been in an accident, and are at the hospital,” he said.
“Of course,” she answered.
The ride to the hospital felt like it took an eternity and anything that the police offices told her went in one ear and out of the other. She felt like her heart was about to beat out of her cheat, and she was so upset. She loved her parents and did not want anything to happen to them. She hated that it seemed like her magic put a wall between them, but she didn’t want to give that or them up. She felt trapped between two worlds and hoped that she didn’t have to choose between the two of them.
story goes here
Hermione was waiting around for the nurse to come back to take her blood, she knew she would match up with one of her parents’ blood types but she didn’t know which one since she didn’t know her blood type. Luckily she was able to contact her father’s sister and she was on her way over. It only took up to twenty minutes to determine, so it should be much longer.
After ten minutes she was starting to get ansty, but knew she still had to wait, but watching the different practitioners and doctors walking passed her in different directions. She really wished that this would go a lot faster than it was.
Then after fifteen minutes, she tried to distract herself by picking on her clothes and counting all the people who passed her. She shouldn’t have to wait that much longer at least.
Once twenty minutes passed and left she had to wonder when they would retrieve her so that she could give blood. The Nurse Aid Kriss who was supposed to have finished the testing looked like she was trying to sneak by her, hoping that Hermione would not notice her, but she did. However, Hermione decided to let the Kriss think that she didn’t notice her. Once she was sure that the Kriss thought she was in the clear she followed her to what looked like a breakroom.
“Darren,” Kriss called, as what looked like a surgeon walked over.
“Kriss, what do you need?”
“Oh Darren, I don’t know what to do, we have a couple that needs a blood transfusion and their teen daughter just had blood taken to determine her blood type, to see which parent she can donate too. How am I suppose to tell her that she isn’t a match for either one fo her parents? She is a B blood type, while her mother is an A, and her father an O.”
“That is a tough one, I would say just avoid her, I am sorry I don’t have a better answer,” Darren replied.
“Maybe I will get lucky and she will be one of those ditzy teens, and not realize that they means that those aren’t her real parents,” Kriss said.
Darren laughed as Hermione snuck out of the room. She really hoped that her aunt would get to the hospital soon. Hermione could really use her right now. With everything that happened, she did not expect that to happen. In the end, she could even think like that, since all she wanted was for them to be okay again, no matter what they would still be her mum and dad.

This was a great beginning. I liked the idea and am curious to see where it goes
