One of the biggest things people talk about during the new years is their resolutions and what their goals are going into the new years. Then a month later most people give up on them. I even seen friends on Facebook say they can’t wait until the new people in the gym give up on their resolutions so that the gym won’t be packed, and others have already given up on their goals. This is one of the reasons I don’t talk about my goals and resolutions with friends or family, and I certainly don’t go gung ho on them.
First of all, Happy New Years everyone! If you celebrated it, I hope that it was awesome. Personally, I didn’t go out to do so, I am not into crowds or people. To be honest I had just chilled at home. I’m not a fan of explosions or fireworks so that is a good thing to me. The holidays to me, in general, are not a big deal as my Christmas was also not eventual, and that is just fine with me. It’s definitely preferred that is for sure.
Hey Everyone, I hope that everyone had a great holiday. This blog will be just short and sweet. I didn’t do too much, I cooked a vegan meal for my dad and I. It was a stuffed butternut squash, onion gravy, and mashed potatoes. I loved everything, but the onion gravy, it was a new recipe, and it was okay. I prefer mushroom gravy.
I think that you all know what I mean, we all have that one family member that constantly screws up and does it on purpose. I won’t call them the black sheep, because let’s be honest here, that’s me. It’s the same cousin that I blogged about a month or two ago. You can love someone and want what is best for them until you are blue in the face but unless they want help and want to accept what they can get.
This post is a day late because I didn’t feel good today, but here it is. Happy Thanksgiving for those who celebrate it, I really don’t. Not only does the holiday have a racist and problematic history, how many turkeys die for this day that doesn’t need to? Too many. Not only that but I don’t visit most of my family anymore, I would rather not be around racist, sexist, bad people to be honest.
