It’s fascinating how close we are to death and killers daily, and we never know until later if we find out at all. How close do we come to death on a regular bases? Who knows, especially when it is sometimes easier to see if someone is fucked up online and not in real life. I think those people probably hold their masks tighter in public but don’t worry about a slipping online.
Sadly, we don’t always get the answers in life that we want, and sometimes we don’t get any answers at all. That is life for the loved ones of people who went missing. This is their reality, they live through it daily hoping. That is why I think it is important to talk about, these families and friends deserve to know where their loved ones are at. I always hope that someone reading has the answers, and maybe they just don’t know that they are the missing piece to this.
I thought that a top ten for this would be fun and cute, and it would be a nice way to share what I’ve been listening too that I got off of the app TikTok. Since, most of my new music has come from there, YouTube, or various tv shows. This list is in no order, I like most of them pretty equally. I’ve wanted to do this for a while, but it was super hard to choose only ten, but if I didn’t I would be typing all day lol!
So, I have definitely been getting more and more into my genealogy journey. There are always exciting things that come out. I also thought this would be a good break from talking about True Crime, Miraculous, or Fandom. The hours I can spend researching goes by so fast; one minute, it will be 5pm, and the next it will be past midnight! It’s just so easy to get sucked in, lol.
There is always so haunting about someone whose identity is lost to the world, someone who is in a grave with no name and only known as John or Jane Doe. I wonder if anyone reported them missing or if anyone cares. In some cases, especially before the 90s, when someone was reported as a runaway, no one cared to look, family or law enforcement. In other cases, they were reported, but nothing was found because of how law enforcement operated. As someone who is critical of police, this is not meant to be critical of them since there was no national database, agencies didn’t work together, and because of DNA and forensic and modern advances, things have gotten better in that regard. Luckily, times have changed, but sadly people have not, and so many people need their names back.
